Credit card

So I finally went through all the hoops of applying for a credit card which included, but was not limited to, getting
1. A letter from my company saying I'm earn an X amount.
2. A copy of my passport stamped by my company showing them I am who I claim I am.
3. My address in my home country along with the phone number there.
4. The application form itself filled out with my best handwriting.

Nowhere on the application form did it say that these things were needed but that is a whole other story. The thing that I thought was interesting was them asking me for the address of my home in my home country. I have to confess, I don't really know the address of my home in India. I don't know its phone number and I don't really care to find out. To put things in perspective I was born and brought up in Saudi Arabia. I was born in a hospital called the national hospital and except for a brief time (6 years) spent in the USA I have never really been anywhere else long enough to call home. So when they ask me for an address in India I give them a blank stare, not because I'm trying to hide my heritage or because I want to run off with the card with it's amazing $1000 credit limit, but because I have really no idea what my home address is or what my home country is. My mom and my dad both have a home country and a home address in that country but I feel little attachment to India. Sure, you bad mouth India and I will argue against you but if you say it's good I will still argue against you. That's just in my blood. You tell me America is bad and I will argue against you, you say it's good? well I will argue against that as well. I don't understand pride over belonging to a country, I don't get nationalism any more than I get being obsessive about a religion. One is just as logical as the other. I don't hold it against people who are patriotic of passionately religious but I will say one thing, were you born in another country or to another religion would you still feel the same? These are matters of chance, unless of course you changed your religion or your nationality then you could, possibly, be proud of it. For many of us it's just not a choice. I have never met an erudite patriot. Most of them seem like the lemmings in those old lemmings game. You know, where one lemming leads all the others over a cliff and all of them follow because they just don't know any better.
P.S. This rant was brought to you courtesy of a credit card application form, long live mortgage and credit, the heart and sole of a generation out of control.

Disgusting

The most disgusting story I have read for a while now, makes me look upon the very concept of Government and Justice with disgust. These attorneys should be buried in sand up to their hips in a ravine and let a herd of wildebeests stampeded through the area.

What can you give a man for taking away that many years of his life? I think it would have been better if they had just killed him. Send these ass*'s, the jury who convicted the man, the judge and the prosecutors to Gitmo. To me these people are terrorists since I am terrified by the idea of ever being put in the position of having to ask them for justice on the behalf of anyone.
